Oh dear. We’ve neglected our duties as raconteurs of our lives in the Pacific Northwest. So…updates:
– I have water logged and ruined two iPhones in the last month. C says I either get a hardcore case or I’m back to a flip phone.
– In Oct we went to West Lafayette, IN to watch the Purdue v. Nebraska game (thanks for the tickets, Karen!) Our wonderful friends came from NYC and Chicago to cheer with us. I wore a Nebraska tshirt under my Purdue sweatshirt – it was too hot for Purdue, too, apparently. They lost big, but stopped the shutout with a last minute touchdown that had the entire crowd on their feet.
– I had Chicago pizza for the first time. For a bread, sauce and pepperoni casserole, it was perfect.
– We’ll be leaving the farm on Dec 6th. We will miss the friends we’ve made, both human and goat. The final milking of the year will be Dec 1st, and C and I are scheduled to milk together. My, how far we’ve come!
– We bought a house! We are due to move in Dec. 7th. It’s in Stanwood, WA, about an hour north of Seattle, not far from Everett. We’ll have 3 acres and 4 bedrooms, so come one and all to visit!
– We spent 4 days in CA earlier this month. We saw friends, ate chorizo burritos and drank loads of wine. We don’t have any furniture for our new house, but we had a bunch of wine shipped back so we can sit on the boxes.
– We’ll be working for Thanksgiving, and going to Omaha for Christmas. We’ll be in our new house for New Year’s, in case you want to come to any of those places with us. We’ll make a trip to NYC in January.
There must be more…I’ll keep thinking.
