Oscar’s first plane ride was a success! Nathan and Lizzie are such wonderful cousins, and are playing with him all day, every day. He’s sleeping and eating well, and so are Christian and I. It’s so great to be surrounded by family.

He’s found his right thumb, and is able to soothe himself sometimes. He takes a pacifier sometimes, too, which was very helpful on the plane. We were one of 5 families on the plane with an infant, and we all gave each other appreciative looks as we passed – thank god we’re not the only ones. Ozzy cried through most of the descent, but his ears seemed to be fine by the time we hit the ground. We did have two wardrobe changes because of diaper malfunctions, but everyone survived. On the trip back he’ll wear easy snapping one pieces.
