We’ve been having an amazing summer! We’ve had friends visiting from NY, my parents came from Maryland to set up their new home, we went to the lake house in Minnesota and are finally starting our kitchen renovation. Alicia and Brian threw us a wonderful baby shower while my parents were here. I’ve been working a few days a week at the farm stand, keeping our fridge and bellies stocked with fresh produce. We get 6 or 7 eggs a day from our hens. We’ve been making fresh mayonnaise and omelets and breakfast burritos. It’s been busy and great. The garden is flourishing, and I’m trying my hand at preserving all this great food. I’ve canned tomatoes, apricot jam, blackberry jelly and currant syrup. It was supposed to be jelly, but something went awry. I also froze a million blueberries, shredded zucchini and roasted tomatoes. Stocking up for the long hard winter 🙂
Oh. And C put in a pool. He says I asked for it. I recall mentioning that Camano Island has a country club with a nice pool and maybe we should check it out. Then the Amazon boxes started arriving… I have been enjoying it more than anyone. The floaty to floater ratio is a little high, so come on over!
