Our porch redesign project has been moving forward for the past few months. Despite following the usual DNA of construction project flaws and delays we managed to rally this week and hit a momentous milestone yesterday. Winding through over 1200 stainless screws with just as many blisters and splinters; the decking has been installed! We went with tiger wood, not to be confused with the Tiger Woods, which is a much harder version and can be stepped all over with great durability.
This glorious event comes just in time for our Memorial Day guests and the first annual Northwest Farmfest we now have a surface to set up tables for chips and dip while swinging our legs off the porches edge. Of course we wanted to be finished with the porch and mud room for memorial day but ehh, W.T.F. – let’s roll with what we got.
